Jefferson Davis is a Toronto-based wine writer and educator. He holds a Diploma from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) in the United Kingdom. Jefferson has worked as the managing editor of Wine Access Magazine and as the editor of the First In Line tasting report of LCBO releases. He has also served as a judge for the Canadian Wine Awards, International Value Wine Awards and Toronto Wine and Cheese Show, and as an educator with the WSET.

This is a flavourful and beautifully balanced reserva. Enticing and complex aromas of black cherry, raspberry, mineral and wood spice. It really shines on the palate with the fruit and spice weaved together well with the ripe tannin and acidity. Very good length. LCBO Vintages July 25 2015 $19.95

A suprb value here with an abundance of tropical fruit with some secondary characteristics like anise and mint. Look for the tangerine, pink grapefruit, anise and minty hints to jump out of the glass. Good follow through on the palate with fruit and minty elements joined by lively acidith and a touch of sweetness. A great sipper for the last few weeks of summer. LCBO Vintages July 25 2015 $12.95

An appealing and fresh riesling and sauvignon blend with some added sothern Rhone varieties such as marsanne and roussanne. Citrus, melon and ripe apple aromas are joined by hints of herbs. An appealing and robust primitivo that will drink well through 2022. Plenty of lift on the nose with raspberry, blueberry, and cherry notes leading the charge. Floral and spicy elements lend support and lead to a striking flavour profile. Impressive fruit core amid floral and spicy accents with good acidity and ripe tannin.
