Jefferson Davis is a Toronto-based wine writer and educator. He holds a Diploma from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) in the United Kingdom. Jefferson has worked as the managing editor of Wine Access Magazine and as the editor of the First In Line tasting report of LCBO releases. This is a flavourful and beautifully balanced reserva. Enticing and complex aromas of black cherry, raspberry, mineral and wood spice. It really shines on the palate with the fruit and spice weaved together well with the ripe tannin and acidity. Very good length. LCBO Vintages July 25 2015 $19.95
A suprb value here with an abundance of tropical fruit with some secondary characteristics like anise and mint. Look for the tangerine, pink grapefruit, anise and minty hints to jump out of the glass. An appealing and fresh riesling and sauvignon blend with some added sothern Rhone varieties such as marsanne and roussanne. Citrus, melon and ripe apple aromas are joined by hints of herbs.
