Jefferson Davis is a Toronto-based wine writer and educator. He holds a Diploma from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) in the United Kingdom. Jefferson has worked as the managing editor of Wine Access Magazine and as the editor of the First In Line tasting report of LCBO releases. He has also served as a judge for the Canadian Wine Awards, International Value Wine Awards and Toronto Wine and Cheese Show, and as an educator with the WSET.
A well evolved tempranillo-based Gran Reserva with some garnacha and graciano in support. Attractive dark fruit, and well managed oak buttressed by a good spine of acidity and ripe tannin. There are anise and cocoa notes with hints of roasted nuts that emerge after a closer examination. These abundant layers linger nicely on the finish. LCBO Vintages 11228 August 15 $24.95
