Jefferson Davis is a Toronto-based wine writer and educator. He holds a Diploma from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) in the United Kingdom. Jefferson has worked as the managing editor of Wine Access Magazine and as the editor of the First In Line tasting report of LCBO releases. He has also served as a judge for the Canadian Wine Awards, International Value Wine Awards and Toronto Wine and Cheese Show, and as an educator with the WSET.

Hand-harvested from the Moira Vineyard, this went through primary and malolactic fermentation in a combination of neutral French oak barrels and 30% that were new. Ten months later the wine spent six months in mature oak. The result is nicely lifted aromas of sweeter apple, pear and peach hints. The expressive fruit flavours are accompanied by appealing toasty layers. Impressive focus and depth from start to finish. Terrific now through 2030. Winery $36
